On November 15, 2009, we dedicated Bailey to the Lord. Craig and I vowed to raise her in a Godly way and to do everything in our power to turn her heart towards God. We love this little girl so much and our prayer is that she (and Avery, too) would come to know the Lord at a young age and that it would be genuine. We pray they will follow the Lord all of their lives and never turn from Him!

Bailey's Dedication

Bailey and her Push Toy
When I first got this out for Bailey a couple of months ago, she really was not into it. You can see in the first picture she was getting frustrated and didn't want to mess with it. I am really surprised she was not walking early. As busy as she has always been, and since she crawled so early (army crawling at 5 1/2 months), I really thought she would walk early as well. But she hasn't yet. She can now walk with her push toy pretty fast. So fast that she keeps running into walls and I have to help her get it straight again. Lately she has been standing up a lot on her own and she'll lean forward and put her foot out like she's going to take a step, then plop down. She doesn't have the confidence yet to walk, but I have no doubt it's just around the corner! She will walk really well on her own if she has just one of my fingers to hold on to. I can't wait!

Craft Hope Quilt
I am still doing my best to take part in the projects on Craft Hope. Back in November, the project was making quilts for homeless children. My goal was to make the whole quilt without having to buy anything because I have so much scrap fabric. It took some finagling but I did it! Here's the finished project. Check out Craft Hope and add it to your Google Reader. Jump in on a project when you can! They always have great causes and it makes you feel good when you help others.

Visit from Friends
Back at the beginning of November, my friend Sara and her girls came from Little Rock for a visit. Chris, Sara and their girls moved to Arkansas back in the summer and we have missed them so much since then! Several friends dropped by that day so they could visit with Sara and the girls. Back when Avery and Chloe were a little over a year old and Kate was just a baby, Christy, Sara and I got together every Thursday so the girls could play and more importantly so the mommies could visit and get out of the house! I miss that old playgroup!! Here are a couple of pictures of the "old gang," each with a new sibling.

Bailey Update
I just wanted to document all the things that Bailey is doing right now. She is going to be 10 months old on Saturday and she is so smart! She can say the words Mama, Dada, Bye-Bye, Night-Night, and More. She signs "more" and "all done" and she won't do "please" on herself but if I am holding her and ask her to do it, she will rub her hand on my chest instead of her own! So sweet! (The baby sign for "please" is rubbing your hand in a circle on your chest.)
If you ask her where your nose is, she will touch your nose and sometimes her own. She will even touch the nose on a stuffed animal when I ask her where the nose is. She is doing everything but walking. Cruising like a pro and crawling over everything to get whatever she wants! Not much holds this girl back. She has even moved from one piece of furniture to the other on her feet. She is still eating pureed food that I make for her, but she has finally moved on to some finger foods and she loves it! I think she likes the independence of it. She loves pancakes (plain of course!) and has finally tried meat! I just couldn't bring myself to puree meat so we waited until she could do finger foods. I made Pioneer Woman's lasagna the other day and gave Bailey little bites of it. She loved it so much I finally put some on her tray and she devoured it!!
We love this little girl so much! She is getting smarter every day and I love to see her little brain make those connections!

Fall Fun
It has been pretty warm here lately. These pictures were Nov. 1st and it was a little over 70 degrees! Nothing like jumping in the leaves in your shorts and short-sleeved shirt!

I tried to get a similar one of Bailey, but you see how that turned out! Ha ha. She hardly closes that mouth! :)
Here's the fall slideshow:

Finally!....Soccer Pictures!
Well today is Avery's last day of soccer! She has loved it and we might do Lil' Kickers again next year. Here are some pictures that I finally got off of my MIL's camera! These were taken the first day of soccer back in August and I think Avery has already changed since then!
